Show-cooking of tagliatelle, orecchiette, gnocchi, pizza, the preparation of mozzarella in front of the guests, the masterclass on Tuscan wines and the pizza school for children. These were some of the most appreciated moments of the second edition of the Italian Food Festival which on Sunday attracted nearly 3,800 people to the garden of the residence of the Italian Embassy in Myanmar.
The Chief Minister of the Yangon region, U Phyo Min Thein, participated in this open door initiative, who was welcomed and accompanied to the stands by Ambassador Alessandra Schiavo.
The stakeholders who took part in the initiative were from Venice: from the great Italian brands of world renown to the best Italian restaurants in Yangon, as well as large-scale distribution and some local importers of Italian food and wine products.
To entertain guests, in addition to the various activities dedicated to children and an oenology competition for adults, the young composer Corrado Neri was presented, who played accompanied by the singer Federica Contarino.
The coverage of the initiative, which more than doubled its participation compared to the first edition, was also due to the wide coverage of the local press and social media.
