Megumi Project

Published - 29 April 2021, Thursday

Megumi Project is about restoring beauty. At the production site in Onagawa, Japan they up-cycle vintage kimonos donated from all over the country into one-of-a-kind shawls, scarves, bags, journals and accessories.

The artisans, all women directly impacted by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, are empowered to gain income and new skills, nurture their creativity, and regain hope. Image Credit: Megumi Project

I love my Megumi products--it was so hard to choose, everything is so beautiful and well crafted. The quality and attention to detail surpasses expectations!

Beautiful woman whose laughter can be heard upon arrival owning a small piece from this group of women, is a treasure!
