Amazing surroundings and ambience! Highly recommend their breakfast deal, everything is just right, with good quality eggs, glass jar jams and honey and French butter. For their non breakfast menus, kids eat for free and it’s the best quality kids meal I have ever come across in Singapore. It topped the score especially with a gourmet mum like me (no disgusting chicken nuggets neither pizzas or French fries!!) This has become my most comfortable and regular spots, with or without kids.

It's a different experience heading over to The English House on a Saturday or Sunday morning for breakfast anytime between 8:30 am until 11:30 am.

The room is generally peaceful and relaxing for a morning breakfast. It's not a hip cafe feel in anyway whatsoever so if you want the hype of a noisy and crowded breakfast place, say like a Common Man breakfast experience ( which we love also of course...but right time and right place for everything ) this is not your place. The English House is all about simplicity, relaxation and experience.

There is a traditional full English breakfast (all for just $25 inclusive of orange juice and a tea or coffee. The coffee is excellent BTW).

I will go for traditional full English breakfast the next time I visit but this time I just wanted a simple scrambled eggs with the extra toast which is also included. Toast is also served with butter and jam...and as much as you like, which is not the norm in any other breakfast offering I can think of.

You can order extra's at $6 which include pork sausages, additional free-range eggs. fresh avocado and crisp bacon.

All in all its is reasonable pricing for the experience.

Other $25 items inclusive of the orange juice, tea or coffee include Homemade buttered crumpets with two free range eggs, Crushed avocado on toast served with fresh lime and basil the Classic eggs Benedict or a double eggs Florentine with young spinach and sauce Hollandaise.

We visited on the first service of this new breakfast menu and all in all it was just the right fit for us this Sunday morning....peaceful and we were both content - and full...also very easy to have a good conversation with my breakfast partner.

In the coming weeks you can expect a quality A1 experience....give it a go. The English House offers such a unique decor visual in every room... I personally love the rooms....I expect you will to.

Start your weekend on the right foot and book in for breakfast at The English House. Traditionally a lunch and dinner venue, they have just opened on the 1 September for breakfast.

As I stepped in the door I was ever so comforted to see the regal ambience of this beautiful house. I am not sure about you but I like a quiet surrounding on the weekend as I kick back and unwind from the week.

If you resonate with this then you will find the charm of The English House soothing. Serving breakfast on the weekend from 8.30am to 11.30am this is an incredible value deal.

Priced at $25++ there is a choice of seven main dishes which come with a juice and tea or coffee. Not found in many establishments, is as much sourdough toast as you want.

Always looking for something different on the menu I chose the Omelette Arnold Bennett. Cooked with the finest quality smoked haddock this took me back to breakfast in Scotland.

Another main dish with a difference at The English House was the homemade buttered crumpets with poached free-range eggs. I love crumpets and put aside some to have just butter and jam with.

If you like extras there is an a la carte choice of grilled pork sausages, bacon, avocado amongst others.

Be sure to take a walk to the restrooms which will take you through all the rooms of The English House. A lovely bar in one room would make for a great drinks catch up amongst friends.

A little private room on the side where I could hear laughter from a bunch of men, sounded like there was fun to be had in this stylish corner far from the madding crowd.

There are so many rooms in this house to choose from. It all depends on the mood you are in when you walk in to The English House!
