Frank Sinatra themed New York Style speakeasy cocktail bar is a hidden bar in Avenue K with interiors inspired by the golden Hollywood era, jazz style music and a variety of bespoke cocktails to try. Sinatra is all about music, and at Frank’s, music plays a primary role, including their beverage program.
They use a new-age ageing method called “Signature Sinatra Mix” that is known to speed up the alcohol ageing process and enhance the flavour of barrelled liquor by the use of music! The sound waves emitted from the songs act to increase the interaction of the liquor with the barrel wall, much more significant than the normal ageing process.
At Frank’s, they use headphones placed on either side of a barrel playing classic Sinatra songs 4 hours a day, every day over a total of 14 days. Specifically, a playlist of songs between 110 - 200 bpm is used for best effect. Their ultimate goal is to share this new-age method with visiting bartenders to create their signature batch that will be applied for different cocktails or as a speciality drink at Frank’s KL.
