had dinner here last night. Great food and ambience with a lush outdoor area. Long wooden tables ideal for very large parties. Chicken wings highly recommended.

Well it is Singapore and we do love a Sunday brunch!  But sometimes we need a little less brunch than the lavish and expensive spreads put on by the major hotels.  Mmmm ... so where to brunch for the bloke. me and three of our closest mates and wait for it ... no kids?  Well we decided to give Tin Hill Social in Bukit Timah another go (been there a few times but they keep slightly modifying their offering).  So on a rain soaked Sunday we arrived right on noon to sit outdoors (perfectly well covered) to enjoy brunch - select from the menu of real brunch fare plus some mains, pizza and importantly roast of the day.  You combine this with their very generous wine buffet deal  - $35++ for sparkling, rose, white and red over a 3 hour period.  Sunday buffet with the usual hangover but without the usual price tag here we come!  The bloke and two of our mates had the roast beef of the day - generous helping of beef slices, veggies (alhtough we thought 5 peas on the plate was a little stingy) and a huge yorkshire pud.  All of this was good - but the crowd agreed the piece de resistance was good gravy plus horseradish and hot english mustard (an unexpected treat).  At $32++ we thought is was great value for Singers.  Bangers and mash and the big Brekkie rounded out our brunch .. with the food getting the thumbs up all round.  Service in the past has been very hit and miss here but on this occasion it was pretty faultless.  Our only complaint was the fact they ran out of red wine at 1pm and did not offer an alternative (folks, you offer wine buffet with red wine you need to have enough wine or have a back up).  Otherwise, all good particularly as we ran into other friends on the day and brunch turned to dinner.   While we were kid free for the day, Tin Hill Social is great for the kids.  The outdoor area is spacious, they have games and a good kids menu and you can take it in turns to take the little ones to see the rabbits and maybe even have a pony ride.  If you are looking for a more low key brunch that still serves up good value, I suggest you do yourself a favour and check out Tin Hill Social.
